Born in the october of 1994 by Flavio and Massimo Tempesta, Disease are involved in the italian metal undergorund scene since 1994 , playing extreme music with some different kind of influencies and styles .
In 1995 they released their first demotape “Dark heart behind”, raw old style but melodic thrash-death influenced by Slayer, Morbid Angel ecc.
After some gigs Disease started to write new material and during the summer of 1996 , with a new line up , they released their second work, a promo of two songs that was enthusiastically rated by magazines & 'zines : new prog and melodic part were added and mixed with the extreme metal and techinical part , the structures of the songs became more complex, the voice starts to alternated clean and growling parts to give a new musical identity which actually characterizes the band yet .
During september 1997 Marco Mastruzzi (guitar) entered in the band. In the summer of 1998 Disease released the promo “ADVTIXVIII” that changed definitely the musical prospective involved to melt different sounds mixing extreme metal parts , melodies and progressive arrangments with a personal touch in search for an own identity
In the 1999 after new important line-up changes Leonardo Orazi became the new bassist and after a long search to find a good vocalist , in 2001 Flavio decided to take the role playing guitar and singing at the same time .
After a lot of lives and a home-demo never released (recorded in the october 2001) the band started to compose the new material for their first album “5th wave, endless”.
In 2004 Disease released “Burning memories - demo coll. 1995-2001″ a retrospective for their 10 years anniversary of activity in the metal underground. Thanks to this cd compilation that includes all the demos of the band, Disease received a good feedback in the underground scene, and finally joined Deadbang record to produced the debut album “5th wave, endless”, released in May 2005. The album was more complex and complete than the old released material with an improved integration of extreme metal impact , melodic, progressive parts and a voice in constant balance between extreme screams/growls and melodic clean parts.
The band started to support the album with some shows playing with a lot of italian underground bands and in the spring of 2006 opened for Sadus & Darkane in Rome.
In the summer of 2006 the band played at the "Mostra dei Mostri fest" in Cellino Attanasio (with Extrema, Infernal Poetry, ecc) where recorded its performance released in the 2007 as a free bootleg.
In the spring of 2008 the band re-recorded 3 old songs from the promo released in 1998 “ADVTIXVIII” re-arranging them in the way of the actual musical direction: with the supervision of Joseph DiPorto on the consolle, the band recorded the 3 track absolutley live trying to combine all music in a unique suite of 32 minutes full of some different atmospheres and contrasts. The result of the hard work (infinite thanks to the patience and to the talent of our brother Joseph) is called “A circular decade in motion“ released during the fall of 2008 in absolutly free download .
After some gigs the band starts to work on the follower of the 2005 album and during november 2011 they begin to recorded the new song with the precious ,fondamental presence of Francesco Dellamorte from the porno-gore-grind bastards ULTIMO MONDO CANNIBALE . The new album called THE STREAM OF DISILLUSION is an obscure heavy monolith which Disease finally found their our identity ,a progressive dissonant grey flow of sadly emotions loaded with their extreme metal roots . In the album is include a persona homage to the master Anathema with a cover of their classic EMPTY .
The new album has been released in november 18th 2011 and is avalaible from the band on cd or absolutly free in the download section of this blog ...
